The Waterloo Hotel - Food & Accommodation

Welcome to Newports only Boutique Hotel

"This definitely the place to stay if you are visiting Newport, travelling through or just looking for a great place to stay while visiting South Wales.

From arriving - the welcome was exceptional.  The owner is always around and all the staff work extremely hard to make your stay one to remember.

During my 2 night stay I ate in the bistro twice - being a 'foodie' I was suprised at just how good the food was (and homemade)!  Excellent wine list, from house wines to the more unusal, and not badly priced either.

Bedrooms large and light and airy, bathrooms all come with underfloor heating should you need it.

Couldn't fault the place and what is most important is that it is great value for money."

Whether on business or pleasure you are assured of a warm welcome at The Waterloo Hotel.

Built in the 1870's, the grade 2 listed Waterloo Hotel, former docks pub (and brothel), makes a welcome change from the ususal plain chain hotels.

Following a luxury refurbishment in 2007, yet still retaining all of its original features, the hotel now boasts 1st class comfort with 21 wi-fi enabled luxury en-suite bedrooms complemented by a Metro Newspaper, best restaurant of the year serving the very best modern and traditional cuisine.

Our Hotel is located in a commanding position with easy access to road (M4) and rail networks, Cardiff is only 15 minutes away, ideal for the Millenium stadium.

Newport is surrounded by beautiful landscapes including the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the undulating Vale of Usk, famous for its salmon fishing; the Brecon Beacons National Park and Forest of Dean - both less than an hour's drive from The Waterloo Hotel.
